By now you've probably seen at least one video of a soldier or Marine returning home and seeing his dog for the first time. It's one of the things the Internet does that really, genuinely tugs at your heartstrings.

Join Western New York Heroes and WYRK’s Clay Moden for a celebration of local military Veterans on Friday November 2nd.  It’s the annual Armory, ‘Red, White & Blues’ event to honor Western New York’s Veteran of the year, as chosen by the Buffalo News.

They’re called vanity license plates and it’s a way for the state to make extra money.  Some people put their names or initials on them.  I’ve heard of people putting the name of their pet or some kind of combination of numbers and letters to form a phrase.

When Soldiers come back from war, they are sometimes haunted by the experiences and struggles that they had to face. Some veterans do not know to handle their emotions so they bottle them all up inside and may turn to drugs and alcohol for relief. Our veterans do not deserve to live this way after serving and protecting our country.
