Merry Chirtmas! The big day will be here soon and there are some very fun things for the family to do before Christmas arrives. From meeting Santa to enjoying some caroling, if you need a little holiday spirit, there is no shortage of supply here in the Western New York area.

A great tradition that has become very popular among families around BUffalo is a trip to the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights in Hamburg! There are thousands of great lights and dozens of buildings and activities to see. But perhaps the best of all is a glimpse of what is the second tallest Christmas tree outside of the one in Rockefeller Center in New York City!

This tree is massive and must have been a real chore to get all the lights on it! I have to give extra props to the crew at the Fairgrounds. Just weeks ago, before the opening day, the area got hammered with 81 inches of snow! Pretty incredible that there was anything left to see after the snow piled on the displays and tree that are featured in the drive-thru set up.

We have three kids who are all under the age of seven and to say that they are excited for Christmas would be a major understatement! We took a ride through the lights festival and had hot chocolate and popcorn for the boys! They especially loved the Buffalo sports area and the Santa Claus playing basketball! As my son Hank put it; "Santa never misses"!
