The Best Sitcoms of All Time with a Western New York Connection
Rolling Stone magazine just released their list of the top 100 sitcoms of all time.
We were surprised just how many shows have a connection to Buffalo and the greater Western New York Region.
Did you know Buffalo has gotten mentioned a few times over the course of The Simpsons enormous TV tenure?
And, before he topped TV with his own show, Jerry Seinfeld was the class clown in college at SUNY Oswego.
There's an 80's sitcom on the list that featured Dabney Coleman as a talk radio host in Buffalo.
While the show revolved around the antics of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company's Scranton branch, The Office made many references to Utica and Buffalo offices (as well as cameos of Wegman's branded products).
And one of our favorite shows featuring one of our favorite former newscasters came in at number 15 on Rolling Stone's list of the Top TV Sitcoms of All Time.
