The Little Mermaid Live Musical Coming To Network Television

It was announced earlier this year that a live-action version of the 1989 animated The Little Mermaid would be in production and now, there will be a live musical.

ABC announced the plans of The Little Mermaid live musical; it would air on November 5th. It stars Auli'l Cravalho as Ariel, Queen Latifah as Ursula the sea witch and Shaggy as Sebastian the crab.

The network originally had plans in 2017 for a musical of The Little Mermaid but canceled those plans a few months later due to high costs.

The two-hour musical will feature performances from both the movie and the Broadway stage adaptation.
