Halloween is right around the corner.  People are beginning to stock their shelves with candy to appease the ghosts and goblins that will be coming to their door.  But are they stocking the right candy?

If you want to keep your trick or treaters happy, what should you be dropping in their bags?

According to candystore.com, it's different by every state.  They send out tons of bulk candy every year and along with their partnerships with other major candy manufacturers and distributors, have a pretty good set of data to tell them what people are getting.

Here in NY, the popular candy is Sour Patch Kids.  I agree.  My kids eat that stuff by the bags full.  Second for NY is a little more disputable.  They say candy corn comes in second.  While I love it, I've heard a bunch of people say they hate candy corn.  But hey...somebody's buying it right?  Third is what would have been first on my list - Reece's Peanut Butter Cups.

What about the other states?
