Earlier this year, Country superstar Thomas Rhett teamed up with his cousin Jeff Worn to release a new brand of Tequila. It is called "Dos Primos" which means two cousins.

According to the website, Dos Primos blends Mexican tradition with southern sensibility.

Currently, they offer a Tequila Blanco that comes from 100% blue agave. Here are the tasting notes on the tequila from the website.

TASTING NOTES

Color
Clear and bright as a starlit night

Aroma
Notes of freshly-picked herbs, followed by summer citrus and blooming floral cues

Palate
Cooked agave with earthy herbal hints on the front palate, followed by zested citrus

Body
Elegant and smooth on the palate

Finish
Strong botanical finish

Currently, the Tequila Blanco is offered online, in selected bars and selected liquor stores. Right now, there is only one place in Western New York where you can pick up a bottle.

That place is called Wild Horse Wine and Spirit and it is located on Transit Road in East Amherst.

Of course, you could also order it online HERE

Now, Thomas is not the first country star to make and sell liquor. John Rich of Big and Rich launched his Redneck Riveria line of products in Panama City Beach several years ago. He offers whiskey and now even has a BBQ sauce that you can buy right here in Western New York at the Made in America Store. The BBQ sauce is called 1776. Read more about it HERE

I haven't tasted Thomas Rhett's "Dos Primos" tequila yet, but if his booze is like his music, I am sure it will be very good and a big hit.
