Today In Country Music History: Bucky Covington

Happy birthday goes out today to William Joel Covington III.  He's also known as Bucky Covington and according to CMT.com  it was today back in 1977 that he was born.

You may remember Bucky Covington first from American Idol.  He was on the 5th season of that show.  A class that also included Chris Daughtry, Katharine McPhee, winner Taylor Hicks, and our own Kellie Pickler.

Bucky finished 8th on that season and went on to sign a deal with Lyric Street Records.  His first self titled CD had the hit "A Different World" on it.
