Trooper Killed On Youngmann

Our sympathies go out to the family of New York State Trooper Kevin Dobson, killed Saturday morning while conducting a traffic stop on the eastbound I-290 in the Town of Tonawanda.  Dobson was a 14-year veteran of the State Police stationed out of the Clarence Barracks.  Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at 759-6831.  Personally, I would speculate that the driver involved in the crash was blinded by the sun.  The accident happened around 7:30 AM in the eastbound lanes and I know that it's very tough to see in that section of highway early in the morning or for that matter heading westbound in the evening.  But either way, a terrible tragedy.
