The Buffalo Bills are preparing for their week 4 game against the Houston Texans this Sunday at Highmark Stadium. The Bills are looking to improve to 3-1 on the 2021 regular season and will face a rookie quarterback in Davis Mills for Houston.

The Bills will have to play this game without two of their starters, however. One on offense and the other on defense.

According to Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott, both safety Jordan Poyer and guard Jon Feliciano will both miss Sunday's game against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Poyer is dealing with an ankle injury, while Feliciano has a concussion.

McDermott didn't specify who would start in place of guard Jon Feliciano. Chances are Ike Boettger or Ryan Bates would fill in.

As for Poyer's replacement, rookie Damar Hamlin is slated behind him at strong safety, but they also have Jaquan Johnson, who should be the guy who takes Poyer's place against Houston. Johnson was drafted in 2019 and has a little more experience.

As for Houston, they're also dealing with the injury bug.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola, defensive lineman Ross Blacklock, running back Scottie Phillips, and linebacker Garrret Wallow all did not practice on Thursday, so their status for Sunday is in doubt.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson is still listed on the injury report but he's obviously not hurt. There's no sign of him playing any time soon with his trade demands and sexual misconduct allegations that are still being investigated. The Texans and the NFL are in a holding pattern when it comes to Watson's playing status.

Former Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is on injured reserve, so rookie Davis Mills will make another start in Orchard Park on Sunday at 1 pm.
