While the UB Bulls lose several members of their team from last year, this year that have at least one player getting some National attention.

Sophomore running-back Jaret Patterson has been named to the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is given to the nation's top college football player every year.

Patterson becomes just the 3rd third player in school history to be named to the Maxwell Award watch list, joining former running back Branden Oliver and wide receiver Anthony Johnson.

Last year, Patterson rushed for 1,013 yards and 14 touchdowns. His 14 rushing touchdowns were a Freshman record and just two shy of the school record. He was named a second-team All-MAC selection and MAC Freshman of the Year.
