They say music can help you heal and several Veterans from Western New York were able to write some songs to help with their transition to civilian life.

The non-profit SongwritingWith: Soldiers allows veterans to team up with professional songwriters and write songs that help them tell their stories, cope with grief, rebuild trust, release pain, and forge new friendships.

The nation-wide program has already allowed 400 veterans to work with songwriters and pen over 400 songs of healing, love, grief and more.

Check out some of the songs that have already been written.
