The Vietnam War ended 45 years ago, with American involvement ending 47 years ago, but the impact it has left still resonates in America to this day, including here in Western New York. For those looking for a memorial to see that honors those who served in the war here in Buffalo, it will be coming next summer, if only for a few days.

According to WIVB, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall will be coming to Tonawanda in the summer of 2021.

It's called "The Wall that Heals," and will be coming to Veterans Park off Niagara Street in the city of Tonawanda.

The wall will be in Tonawanda from July 22nd to the 25th, 2021, and is free to attend. It's also open 24 hours when it arrives.

The wall is described as a three-quarter scale replica that honors the over three-million Americans who fought and served in the Vietnam War.

I think this idea is great -- bringing a huge memorial like this to different parts of the country and giving relatives of those who fought a chance to honor their loved ones.
