Great News for Buffalo Bills Fans Regarding Von Miller
Mandatory minicamp begins at One Bills Drive in less than two weeks. It will run from June 13th to the 15th in Orchard Park. Every Buffalo Bills player is required to be there, as it's the last calendar event before training camp.
Bills star edge rusher Von Miller will likely not fully participate in minicamp and the jury is still out on whether Miller will be able fully participate in training camp.
Miller is less than seven months removed from his ACL injury, which required surgery in early December.
This was Miller's second ACL injury in his career but the first since 2013, so it's been a decade since he has had this sort of injury. If you remember, Von Miller was back by week 1 of the regular season, despite only being injured seven months prior.
He's confident that history will repeat itself.
Miller told Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver that because he went through this recovery once before, he knows exactly what goes into it, how it feels, and what the timeline should be.
Miller told Klis that he feels like he will be ready to go by week 1 against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.
The options the Bills will have is to either have Miller available and on the active roster by week 1, or if they feel like he needs more time, place him on the PUP list (physically unable to perform) and that will mean he misses the first six weeks of the season. Miller wouldn't count against the 53-man roster.
Von Miller sounds very confident he will be ready to play by week 1, however.
