For those who hate the bitter cold, relief is on the way.  Mike Randall tells us that we are going to see 40's by next week.   For car wash owners, that is fantastic news. This is a picture of my truck.  Like most of the cars/trucks around, it is hard to tell what color it is anymore because of the road salt that has gathered on it. Isn't it so frustrating to watch the salt just build and build? True, it's a truck and trucks get dirty.  Salt however is very destructive. For those of us who drive on the Thruway everyday, seems our vehicles get the worst of it.  I hear people say that there is "too much road salt used." It's kind of a catch 22 for the DOT. Use too much, people complain.  use too little, people complain.   We can't do anything about the road conditions, but as least we can take care of our vehicles.

I bet most of the car wash places will be packed in the next few days.  Here are some tips I found on  Google.
