What a cool story.

Mercy Flight, based right here in Western New York, had to retire one of their helicopters. Nobody could fly it for emergency use, so they decided to sell it, and what a great idea. Someone bought it, and wait until you hear what they did with it.

They turned it into something really special for their family. It was turned into a 'playhouse' for their 5-year-old son to play in. Imagine your neighbor having something like this in the backyard.

That is not even the craziest part of the story. Guess where the helicopter is now? It is in New Zealand! Mercy Flight posted about the helicopter that they sold on Facebook:

He purchased one of our former BK-117 helicopters (N587TJ), which was shipped to New Zealand and is now being used as a very special playhouse for his 5-year-old son, Lucas! According to Dad, Lucas is absolutely thrilled with his ‘own’ helicopter and can often be found in the pilot’s seat, headset on, soaring through the skies in his imagination. It’s clear that the helicopter has become a favorite, not only for Lucas but also for his friends—and yes, even the adults enjoy hopping into the cockpit!

If that isn't crazy enough, wait until we see what we saw in Salamanca! Someone was on Facebook Marketplace trying to sell a tank and suggesting that it could be a really cool playground for some kids. Yes, an ACTUAL Tank! It certainly came with a price tag, though. It is going to cost someone 30,000 dollars.
