Back in 2005, the Buffalo Niagara Cultural Tourism Initiative reported that the Buffalo Niagara region brought approximately 16 million visitors to the area every year. 

Although the number has probably fluctuated in recent years thanks to travel restrictions from the pandemic, Buffalo remains a popular tourist destination for travelers worldwide.

As much as we enjoy it when friends and family who live outside of the area come and pay our fair city a visit, sometimes we get stuck showing people around Buffalo that we’re not particularly fond of.

Examples include:

• Your annoying roommate from college whom you haven’t talked to in years but who suddenly messages you on Facebook saying they’re in town.
• Your ex who asks you to “show them the sights” before they ditch you for a show at Towne Ballroom. 
• Your pretentious “foodie” relative that you only see on holidays who insists they have to try Buffalo wings IN BUFFALO. 
• Your friend of a friend (of a friend) who's traveling to Orchard Park for the Bills game…because they’re a die-hard Bengals fan. 

Ugh.

Buffalo has a ton of great places to show off to the people you love visiting from out of town. But what if you’re tasked to be a Buffalo tour guide for someone you don’t even like? Or worse… someone you can’t stand?

We asked YOU via social media where you would take someone in the Buffalo or Western New York area if you didn’t like them, and you definitely didn’t hold back. To be honest, some of the answers were a little frightening - but all of them were 100% correct.
