There are signs that we are moving in the right direction when it comes to getting back to normal during the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccines are rolling out faster, the Center for Disease Control says that people that have already received and completed their vaccinations for COVID can now gather together without a mask and lastly, events are putting dates on the calendar and rolling out safe ways to ensure that they happen.

What about the shows at Darien Lake this Summer? We get asked all of the time about what is happening? What if there are dates on the ARTIST'S website that says their coming to Darien Lake this Summer?

There ARE some rescheduled dates that are on artists websites that have dates for Darien Lake, although, no real press release saying that concerts are officially happening. Luke Bryan for example, is one of them. His tour 'Proud To Be Right Here' was rescheduled and Darien Lake's date is June 17 according to his website.  There is even a link to purchase tickets.

But, is it for sure happening? What about COVID protocols? We have heard very little about those.

Enough vaccines for everyone by May has been something that the President and the CDC have said will happen. Making it possible for concerts to come back this Summer according to the Wall Street Journal:

On Live Nation Entertainment Inc.’s earnings conference call Thursday, Chief Executive Michael Rapino told investors the world’s largest concert promoter thinks it can begin staging outdoor amphitheater shows by midsummer. Jay Marciano, chief executive of rival AEG Presents, said he believes full-capacity club and theater shows will be possible this fall. Live Nation, whose fourth-quarter revenue dropped 92% from the previous year, saw shares rise 2% this week through Tuesday to push its 30-day climb to nearly 30%.

Just cross your fingers everything goes smooth and we can *safely* return to concerts as soon as possible!
