Winter Storm Warning Expanded To Include Northern Erie County

It looks like Northern Erie County will be joining the Southern Tier in the race to pile up the snow.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has expanded their Winter Storm Warning to include Northern Erie County along with the Southern Tier.

Including the cities of Buffalo and Batavia

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM FRIDAY TO 1 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow
  accumulations of 7 to 14 inches expected in the most
  persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Just south of Metro Buffalo, and west and south of
  Batavia. This includes areas from about Lackawanna east through
  Alden and Corfu.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Friday to 1 AM EST Saturday.
