Winter Weather Advisory in Place For WNY
As you went to bed last night, we are sure you did not think you would wake up to the amount of snow we had this morning. Between 2 and 4 inches fell in Western New York and all of the Buffalo area and northern Pennsylvania are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 1 pm.
Snow showers, which could be heavy at times, will lead to reduced visibility and snow-covered roads for through the end of Monday morning commute. Snow accumulations will range between 2 to 4" inches for this region. This afternoon will feature a chance of light snow and maybe a few rain showers", according to WGRZ.
Of course, in very Buffalo fashion, the temperatures will get to 40 degrees this week melting a lot of the snow that was on the ground.

In fact, some people across Western New York did not realize that the ice was not strong enough for Winter activities and folks had to be rescued on the Ohio shore of the lake this past weekend. Make sure that you are careful if you decide to go out and try ice fishing this week!
