The Buffalo Bills will travel to New Jersey to take on the New York Jets for an AFC East Conference showdown this weekend. It is the first of the two annual meetings between the teams, and the Buffalo Bills are the favorite. These teams have an incredible history individually and as opponents. But some of the best memories of the contests between the two teams involve the weather!

The Buffalo Bills are coming off a historic and impressive win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The game was the highlight of the week across the National Football League and will be talked about for generations as the fans reminisce about the current Highmark Stadium and the many great moments it held. The new stadium is set to open for the start of next season.

The New York Jets lost in a highly publicized match-up this past weekend as they took on the Pittsburgh Steelers and former Jets quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

But the focus for these two teams will be week two in New Jersey, and, as of now, the conditions look much better than they did for a couple of games in the 1970s.

Growing up in Buffalo, most kids become fans of the Buffalo Bills. However, as is the case with my family, there are some who stray from rooting for their own teams. Our son Teddy is a New York Jets fan! The reason? My guess is that because the rest of us LOVE the Bills so much, he wanted to be different. But if you ask Teddy, he will tell you it is because he loves the Jets ' all-star, Sauce Gardner!

It will be a game to watch as these two rivals have a lot to fight for here in the early season. The Bills can stay a couple of games ahead at the top of the AFC East with a win, while the Jets can get in the win column and avoid the hateful cheers from the New York area's fans.
