What a special night for us this past Friday at Coca-Cola Field in downtown Buffalo!  Not only was it our 12th annual Taste of Country, but the night was also about something else.  As I mentioned from the stage at Taste of Country, WYRK first went on the air in June of 1981.  Back then, we were known as "Stereo 106 WYRK".  This month marks our 30th birthday.  Not trying to brag here, but you can't help but notice that we have been the most successful radio station in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls market.  I am both humbled and honored to have been a part of this radio station for the past 28 years.  Kudos to my co-worker Dale Mussen who has been here for 29 years.  I don't want to speak for Dale, but both of us have been very Blessed to be a part of such a great radio station.  I am sure that Dale feels the same way I do.  Our blood flows WYRK red, white and blue.

I just want to say a big THANK YOU to those of you who support WYRK.  We have worked very hard to be the best radio station in town.  You have shown us you believe in what we do by supporting us all the way.  Thank you for being at our Taste of Country show.  One of our sales guys told me that we had close to 21,000 people at our show on Friday night.  Thank you for being part of our 30th birthday celebration.
