The annual Books for Kids campaign has begun! You can help kids in need in Western New York with your donations of new books. The Books for Kids campaign's goal is to collect books, so all WNY area children can enjoy the gift of reading.

Between now and October 15, 2021, you can donate a new book at all Wegmans locations in Erie and Niagara counties, all 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries, and The Buffalo News at Washington and Scott Streets.

This year's Books for Kids donation drive is sponsored by Project Flight, Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries, Wegmans, The Buffalo News, WGRZ TV Channel 2 and Townsquare Media - WYRK, WBLK and WMSX.

You can donate new books at the following locations:

  • All Wegmans in Erie & Niagara counties
  • All Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries
  • The Buffalo News, corner of Washington and Scott streets, downtown Buffalo

Donations to purchase books for children with special needs are also welcome and will be used to buy Braille, large-print and other specialized books.
