There has been an recent outage that impacts some banking and may impact some customers here in New York State.

Financially speaking, it is a vital time of the year for families in New York State. School taxes are becoming due and the holiday shopping pressure is about to start. Combine those with higher prices and inflation, it makes a perfect storm of financial stress.

But the good news for those impacted by the recent outage is that the money in their account should be there.

As of early on Thursday morning, there are reports that the Bank of America outage has been resolved. Customers who found a ZERO BALANCE should be back online.

PAHomepage reports that: "Downdetector, a site that tracks outages across platforms and services, saw a spike of more than 18,000 user-reported outages with Bank of America’s online banking Wednesday afternoon. As of 9:00 p.m. ET, those reports had dwindled to less than 700".

Saving money is not easy, and every penny counts right now for families and individuals across New York State. There are some positives on the horizon. Large retailers, like Target, are announcing a reduction in prices ahead of the busy shopping season. There is also the Amazon Prime days that are coming next week.
