In my experience, a good way to get a real sense of a person is by how they treat animals.

This Saturday (April 20) is Buffalo On Tap at the Buffalo Convention Center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and to those who say they can't drink craft beer because they're gluten intolerant, no worries -- there will be gluten-free options at this event!
Today is the 37th annual Great American Smokeout – a one day campaign to encourage smokers to quit for 24 hours to prove that they can do it. Last year nearly 20-million smokers tried to quit for the day…that’s about 40 percent of the nation’s 50-million plus smokers.
It's that time of year again when the allergies get bad.
Who would have thought that a peanut butter and jelly sandwich would cause such a stir? For one school, it’s a 50/50 split on parents who think that the ban of the sandwich is a ridiculous thing. But, maybe the parents defending the ban have good reason.
It’s not a dog you see very often. They’re kind of odd-looking, very skinny with long rear legs and they’re known for being able to run very fast. But experts say even though Greyhounds can reach speeds of 50 miles an hour, they’re pretty docile. They can weigh 60 to 70 pounds and stand 2 and ½ to 3 feet tall, but they make better apartment dogs than some smaller breeds that are more active.
Last week I told you I’ve been a recent allergy and sinus sufferer. If you are to the lack of rain in Western New York could make it worse this year because the pollen count is causing even those without allergies to have itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing. Here are five steps to limiting your symptoms:
I truly believe that people who live in the city are more prone to allergies than those who live in a more rural setting. I grew up on farm in Michigan and don’t remember ever having trouble with allergies. We would play for hours outside among fields of hey, oats straw you name it and I had no problems. After moving to more populated areas over the years including where I live now I find that I’m dealing with allergies and sinus related problems.
The last couple of dry days that we have had (the few that we have had) it is everywhere. That snow like stuff that is floating in just about every neighborhood in Western New York.is it pollen? Is it cotton? It's neither.
