Dale Mussen

I've been doing this radio thing for over 35 years now. I've been a part of the Breakfast Club morning show since 1986. Since I was a kid, I've loved to read. I read the newspaper each day nearly cover to cover – usually not the classifieds though. I get a lot of ideas for my Daily Data segment just by reading the paper. I’m a lifelong Bills and Sabres fan, and I've been a regular in the press box of both teams since 1979 -- but I'm still waiting for one of them to win a championship! Four cracks at it for the Bills and two for the Sabres, and they came up short. I was born and raised in the Buffalo area. I went to school at Niagara University, and since Clay went to Canisius, we get to raz each other twice each year when the Eagles and Griffs meet to play basketball. I have a large collection of records. I'm one of the few that still has the old vinyl, including a lot of old 45s in their original sleeves. Some kids probably have no idea what I'm talking about at this point. My favorite things to do in my spare time are bike riding and fixing things around the house, and each fall, I officiate high school football games.

Sabres Score More Than One Goal And Win

Victories have been few and far between this season, but for a change, the Buffalo Sabres skate off the ice with a win. They spotted the Winnipeg Jets a 2-0 lead early in the second period. Most nights this season that would have been enough to beat the Sabres, but they battled back scoring four unanswered goals to beat the Jets 4-2.

They Can Remember Every Day Of Their Life — Gift Or Curse?

It’s a condition called Hyperthymesia. It’s a combination of two Ancient Greek words: Hyper meaning “excessive” and thymesis meaning “remembering.” Technically it’s someone who has an extremely detailed autobiographical memory. Basically they can remember every day of their life in almost perfect detail. They can also tell you about public events they may have read about or experienced that day.

Bills Hold On In Jacksonville

EJ Manuel's second touchdown pass of the game, a one-yard pass to fullback Frank Summers with 9 1/2 minutes left to play, was good enough for the Buffalo Bills to squeak out a 27-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, giving the Bills their first win in a month.

Gore Defeated By Hanging Chads

It was one of the closest and most disputed presidential elections in U.S. history. It’s when George W. Bush defeated Al Gore back in 2000 when the Supreme Court ruled that Electoral College votes in Florida would be awarded to Bush. For weeks before that, the winner of the election was in doubt as legal battles dragged on over the recounting of votes.

Familiar Name Involved In Controversy Decades Ago

Pretty interesting note in history. On this date in 1962, officials in New York City voted against a plan for an elevated expressway across the bottom of Manhattan. It was supposed connect the Holland Tunnel on the West Side with the Williamsburg and Manhattan Bridges on the East side, but it would cut through neighborhoods known as TriBeCa and SoHo.

A Rare Win For The Buffalo Sabres

Maybe the key to winning games for the Buffalo Sabres is to battle their way to a shootout, where they're undefeated this year.

The Sabres and Ottawa Senators finished overtime in a 1-1 tie, forcing a shootout where 10 skaters from each team tried their luck until Zemgus Girgensons scored the deciding goal to give the Sabres a 2-1 win.
