It sems like a few of the performers at this year's CMAs will have help on their performances. Jason Mraz will join Hunter Hayes, and the Zac Brown Band will get some help from Dave Grohl (lead singer of the Foo Fighters). Within the genre, Taylor Swift was able to get Vince Gill and Allison Krauss to perform a special rendition of "Red" with her.

Now before I continue, here is my disclaimer: This list is NOT official! It is completely subjective. I'm not saying one is better than the other, and I'm not intentionally leaving people off! Just my thoughts :)

But the upcoming performances on the CMAs got me thinking about some of the cooler collaborations we've seen over the years...no matter where they happened. Here are just a few of my favorites!

KELLY CLARKSON & REBA -- CROSSROADS

If we were ranking these, this would probably come it in at #1! It could be my slight obsession with Kelly Clarkson, but this episode of 'Crossroads' brought on the release of their mega hit, "Because Of You". Why deny you the brilliance of all of their collaborations when I can give you all of them! ( I have it cued up to "Because of You" for you.)

SUGARLAND FT. BEYONCE -- AMAs 2007

Sugarland had been covering Beyonce's smash hit at their concerts for a while, putting a bluegrass spin on song everyone knew. So why not share it with the world on a music show that brought all the genres together? Not only did Beyonce love it enough to join in on the song, you could see everyone in the audience a little confused, but totally digging it!

TAYLOR SWIFT WITH TEGAN AND SARA -- STAPLES CENTER
Seeing how this is my list...there is nothing special about this performance. It wasn't on an awards show, it's not going to be released at a single...it was just a fun and totally surprising performance. Taylor is slowly becoming one of the top entertainers in the industry, and it's because her shows never fail to surprise. On her latest tour, each night seemed to feature a surprise guest. I dig this one the most because I'm a Tegan and Sara fan, and I never thought this would happen...never even came up to think about it.

REBA McENTIRE & VINCE GILL -- MUSIC VIDEO

I feel like we could team Reba or Vince with anyone and they would make my list. The reason I picked this one is because of the video! I've often said that, performance-wise, Taylor is the new Reba. You knew Reba would deliver not only in her videos, but at her concerts. Each performance was gonna be a mini-movie! This always makes me laugh because I remember an interview where Gill was talking about the duet and realizing after agreeing that he was going to have to do "one of her videos." Love it!

There are more that I would like to add, but time is a fickle thing. Maybe I'll add more later, but these are the ones that immediately popped into my head!

What are some of your favorite collaborations, within or outside the genre?
