Buddy Holly will finally get his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next month in Los Angeles.  The unveiling ceremony on September 7th will come on what would have been Holly's 75th birthday. According to Lubbockonline.com his star will be placed near the stars of Roy Orbison and former Beatles John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Star.

The event outside the famous Capitol Records tower on Vine Street will be open to the public.  The Everly Brothers' Phil Everly and Peter Asher of Peter and Gordon will make the presentation.   September 7th will also be designated "Buddy Holly Day in Los Angeles."
