Buffalo is considering a law that would ban companies from asking job applicants if they have a criminal record.  Erie County has 1,900 parolees with 1,300 of them in Buffalo, but a large majority of them are unemployed.

32 other cities in the country have similar legislation in place.  Buffalo would be the first in New York State to ban any questions about a person's criminal past on job applications.

Do companies have a right to know what kind of people are working for them?  Is it their right?  What do you think?
