This is pretty cool! I came across this on Youtube and thought it was a performance from a couple of days ago but it's actually from a performance from about three years ago. It doesn't make it any less amazing to listen to but it does make it less current! The group performing is call the "Western New York Future Educators Wind Ensemble" and this performance took place in Lockport at the Historic Palace Theater. This group is comprised of music education students from SUNY Fredonia, SUNY Buffalo State, SUNY Potsdam, Eastman School of Music, Ithaca College, Nazareth College and others. It's also WNY's first and only intercollegiate wind ensemble. It reminds me of when I was in elementary and middle school we had this thing called May Festival. It brought together  select music from all the schools in the system for one big concert. It was pretty cool to be part of it. Just like May Festival, this is bringing together select students that might never perform together and now they're making beautiful music. The thing that obviously caught my eye was Harry Potter. They do a great job with their performance of the Symphonic Suite from Harry Potter.

According to the Amherst Bee, these future music educators (which some might be current educators at this point) only had two rehearsals before this performance. Now that's impressive. I did try looking up to see if the group still exist and if there were any performances on the horizon but I could not find much.
