Over the years there have been a number of country stars who have dabbled in acting on the big and small screens.  Here is a look at the stars and their second career. 

Carrie Underwood -made her movie debut over the weekend in the film ‘Soul Surfer’.   She also appeared in an episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother’.  She has plans to take on more roles in the future.

Tim McGraw-Gained critical success on the big screen in movies like ‘Friday Night Lights’, The Blind Side’, Flicka and most recently he starred in ‘Country Strong’ with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Dwight Yoakam-Has played some really scary dudes on the big screen in Panic Room and Sling Blade.

LeAnn Rimes- Had a small role in the movie ‘Coyote Ugly’, on the small screen she guest starred on the daytime soap ‘Days of our Lives’ and met her new love Eddie Cibrian on a lifetime movie.

Willie Nelson-Starred alongside Jane Fonda and Robert Redford in the ‘Electric Horsemen’, he guest starred on the small screen too in ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’.

Faith Hill-Played a ‘Stepford Wife’ on the big screen and guest starred on the show ‘Touched by An Angel’.

Toby Keith-Co-produced is films ‘Beer for My Horses” and ‘Broken Bridges’.

Dolly Parton-Had some really great roles in movies like ‘9 To 5’, Steel Magnolias’, ‘and ‘Straight Talk’.  And less we forget ‘The Best Little Whore House in Texas’ with Burt Reynolds and she cozied up to Sylvester Stallone in ‘Rhinestone’.
