Reba has decided she will not return to host the ACM Awards in 2013. Reba has hosted the show more than a dozen times and the last two she had co-hosted with Blake Shelton.
I still watch the ‘Reba’ sitcom in reruns on Lifetime I miss that show and Reba on television but not for much longer. Superstar Reba returns to network TV next fall in a new ABC sitcom called ‘Malibu Country’. The show is based on a single mom (Reba) who relocates her family to Malibu to re-launch her singing career.
After winning the first season of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson sky rocketed on to the pop charts with hits like ‘Breakaway’, ‘Since U Been Gone’, and’ Because of You’ which she wrote when she was 16 and later recorded with Reba on the Reba ‘Duets’ CD.
After rumors that she was dead, Reba’s sitcom career has come back to life with help of ABC. According to Deadline Hollywood, the sitcom ‘Malibu Country’ will star Reba as woman who divorces her good ole boy rock star husband after cheats on her and spends most of their money leaving her with only one asset, a little house in Malibu. The sitcom will focus on this woman and her three kids who have been corrupted by a materialistic lifestyle.

As they say in showbiz the show must go on and that’s exactly what will happen for Steel Magnolia’s Meghan Linsey, but not without help from singer James Otto. Let me explain, a few weeks ago Meghan told fans that her duo partner Joshua Scott Jones would enter rehab to work on getting healthy. Of course that’s a good thing but Steel Magnolia is part of the Reba tour which obviously is a big opportunity for Steel Magnolia and of course Meghan. Here is where James Otto comes in; James will fill in for Josh on the tour.
With 2011 more than half over — and the summer concert season winding down — Billboard has tallied up the totals for the year’s biggest tours so far, and a number of country artists are going strong.
U2 leads the list, with a nearly $175 million gross, with the top five rounded out by Roger Waters ($114 million), Bon Jovi ($107 million), Lady Gaga ($72 million), and Usher ($70 million). And the year’s biggest country tours? Kenny Chesney (No. 9, $25 million) and the George Strait/Reba pairing (number 15, $17.5 million).
Being a huge fan of Reba, I was excited that she recently annouced that she will touring again. The tour will be hitting 31 cities thoughout the U.S and Canada. She will be bringing her fellow Big Machine Label Group artists – Republic Nashville’s multi-platinum sibling trio The Band Perry and Big Machine Records’ emerging stars Steel Ma
