Other than eating chicken, one of my favorite things to do at the Erie County Fair is visiting the livestock barns and talking with the 4-H kids. One of them is 11-year-old Jack Niefergold who's entering sixth grade at North Collins School.

Jack likes to play hockey, baseball, soccer, he plays a musical instrument and loves to take care of his animals. He brought chickens and turkeys to the fair along with Mario - his pig.

We got a chance to talk to Jack before last weekend's auctions.

Jack was hoping to get $3.00 a pound for Mario.  He ended up getting $6.00 a pound.  Good job Jack!
