Tonawanda Police Looking For Riverside Man

 
 
Town of Tonawanda police are looking for a man who they say pulled a gun an officer during a traffic stop. They say 26-year old Brian Guzowski may be in the Riverside area and should be considered armed and dangerous. He’s out on bail on other charges.

SUV Goes Airborne In Depew

 
 
The driver of an SUV told police his steering wheel locked up and he hit the accelerator instead of the brake. That’s how his vehicle ended up going airborne and landing on 3 cars in a parking lot on Dick Road near Walden yesterday. A total of seven vehicles were involved. The driver and a baby in the backseat were both taken to be checked out for minor injuries.
 

Woman's Body Recovered From Erie Canal

 
 
Lockport police have recovered a body they think is the woman who jumped off a bridge into the Erie Canal last month. 28-year old Keena Wilson has been missing since October 20th.
 

High Levels Of Carbon Monoxide In Oakfield Home

 
 
In Genesee county, firefighters were shocked to find lethal levels of carbon monoxide inside a home along Forest Avenue in Oakfield. CO-2 detectors will go off when levels reach 16 parts per million. This house had levels of 1000 per million. It was also about 115 degrees in the house. A man, a woman and a child were taken for treatment.
 

Van Crashes Thru House

 
 
We’ve had more than our share of vehicles striking buildings in this area, but yesterday in St. Catherines a van not only struck a house, but went right thru it. It crashed thru the front and ended up in the backyard. A resident happened to be upstairs at the time. Police say the driver apparently had some kind of medical problem before the crash.
 

Orchard Park Considering Police Cuts

 
 
The Orchard Park town board is considering cuts to the town police department including the elimination of some police officers, fewer patrols and the elimination of some programs. Police officers and residents held an informational picket before last night’s board meeting.
 

Fire Destroys Lockport House

 
 
Fire destroyed a home on Northview Drive in Lockport yesterday. Nobody was home but a family dog died. It took firefighters five hours to put that fire out.
 
 
 
Buffalo police are looking for a man on a bike who they say is trying to lure young boys. He’s approached young boys in different parts of the city asking if they want to make some money. They’re looking for a black male in his 40’s wearing a skull cap riding an older red and silver bike.
 

Sabres Lose Another At Home

 
 
The Sabres gave up three early goals and never caught up in a 3-2 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Ryan Miller gave up all three Flyers goals in the first 6 1/2 minutes of the game and was replaced by Jonas Enroth. The Sabres have played five games at home and lost four of them. They host Calgary Friday night.
