• Fog Blamed in Fatal Crash

    Dense fog was a factor in a crash in Wyoming County that killed a 9-year old girl. Riley Helmer was killed when her father missed a stop sign along Perry Road at Route 77 in the Town of Sheldon and their SUV was struck by another vehicle. Her father, two other kids in the car and two people in the other car escaped with just minor injuries.

  • Another Emergency Landing at Buffalo Niagara Airport

    For the second time in as many days an emergency landing at Buffalo Niagara Airport. A United flight headed from Buffalo to Washington was forced to return to Buffalo because of engine trouble. The pilot shut down the engine and landed safely. The plane was similar to the plane that crashed in Clarence Center nearly three years ago.

    Town of Tonawanda police are reminding residents to keep their doors locked, even when they’re home. That after a rash of burglaries where intruders simply walked in while residents were sleeping. Those break-ins in the Kenilworth area of the town.

  • McKinley Park Inn Closes Suddenly

    The sudden closing of the McKinley Park Inn in Hamburg has some people scrambling to rearrange their wedding plans. The hotel, banquet facility and Club Paradise have all been closed in a money dispute. A number of booked weddings will have to be moved to other locations, if they can be accommodated.

  • U-B Police Arrest Robbery Suspect

    U-B police have arrested a man they think may be responsible for a number of on-campus holdups. A student called police when he noticed a man following him. By the time police arrived the robbery already happened, but they arrested a suspect just a few minutes later and he had the student’s cell phone and also had other property taken in previous robberies.

  • Sabres Host Islanders Tonight

    The Sabres host the Islanders tonight and they could have a couple of players back in the lineup. Defenseman Robin Reghier and forward Drew Stafford could be back after missing the Capitals game with injuries. Goaltender Ryan Miller is also doing better and could be ready for some action soon.
