Do You Remember Buffalo Talkin’ Proud? [VIDEO]

If you were living in Western New York in the early '80's, then you probably remember the Buffalo Talkin' Proud campaign. At the time, I felt it was a bit on the corny side. But now, as I look back, it actually was a very cool ad campaign for Buffalo.

Talkin' proud was the brain child of local advertising executive Alden Schutte. He was trying to find a way to combat the negative national publicity that we were receiving at the time. I think Talkin' Proud was successful. I can not think of any other really great boost Buffalo campaign since then.

And do you remember that peppy girl in the red jump suit in the TV spots? That was Terry Licata Braunstein. She still lives here in the Buffalo area and is married with two grown sons.
