I got hooked on target shooting when I was a freshman at Williamsville North High School. I joined the school's rifle club where we learned how to properly and safely target shoot with .22 caliber rifles.

We used to shoot every Tuesday evening in the basement of Williamsville South High School where they had a beautiful indoor range. I don't even know if the basement rifle range still exists, but my friends and I had some great times there. It was a wonderful wintertime activity that helped us get through the cold winter months.

As I get older, I find I am going back to a lot of the fun stuff I enjoyed as a teenager. So either I am reverting back to my childhood or perhaps I have not grown up yet. Yesterday, I picked a new Ruger .22 target pistol and can't wait to do a little target shooting this weekend.
