One of the surprises of the Olympics was the overnight success and popularity of Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski. Slated, along with Terry Gannon, to cover the daytime broadcast for figure skating they quickly became the favorites over the primetime hosts, Tom Hammond, Scott Hamilton, Sandra Bezic and Tracy Wilson.
