If you've been to the Erie County Fair in the last 50 years and walked the food court area, chances are, you've at least smelled the chicken cooking from the Chiavetta's building.  However, it looks like that building won't be there for long.

According to WIVB, the Erie County Agricultural Society has decided to demolish Chiavetta's landmark building on the Hamburg fairgrounds.

The goal is to widen the food court and the parade route to make it more attractive to the guests.  In order to do that, they plan to take down the NY Lottery building as well.

The president of the Agricultural Society Dennis Lang says that he would like to have Chiavetta's back at the fair but questions why they need the permanent building.
