Mary Poppins Is BACK! See the “Mary Poppins Returns” Trailer

This is one of those situations where I'm super excited but also super nervous. It doesn't get much more "classic" than Mary Poppins! That movie should be a staple in everyone's home. I remember watching it as a kid at my grandparent's house, it was in our rotation when we were there. Then my grandparents took me, my sister and our cousins to see a high school production of it too! The movie holds more memories than just the actual film and I don't want those to be soiled!

For whatever reason reunions and relaunches are the thing now! With live action versions of old favorites popping up on TV it's not a surprise that they would want to bring back such a classic! The new movie Mary Poppins Returns stars Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins and Lin-Manuel Miranda as possible chimney sweeping Burt! While the trailer doesn't give away much it does get you just a little excited for what could be! The movie will center around a grown up Jane and Micheal reunited with their favorite caregiver Mary Poppins!

On IMDB it's described like this from Disney,

"In Depression-era London, a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks, along with Michael's three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives."

While Julie Andrews isn't slated to make an appearance, Dick Van Dyke is!!! He won't reprise his role but it is rumored that he will return as the son of the stingy banker, Mr. Dawes. Meryl Streep will also be in the movie as Mary Poppins cousin Topsy!
