The weather is about to change, big time, for portions of New York State as the first full week of March begins. For those who love to ski, this season has been anything but great. Unless you traveled to the Adirondacks or other states, skiing and snowmobiling was tough with the warmer temps and lack of snow.

As we get back to work and school this week, you will see many people wearing shorts as we expect a possible record breaker in terms of temperature.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York says to get ready for two days of warm, followed by a cool down this week.

Perhaps the groundhog was right with the prediction of an early spring? The warmer weather will make it feel like mid-arpil or May this week and then we set the clocks ahead one hour this weekend! Remember to spring forward Saturday night.

The days will start to get longer as we get in to Sunday afternoon. However, you have to wonder if Old Man Winter has one last blast in him? There are some old timers who believe that when we get to the new moon phase this month, it will usher in a winter storm.
