I have been trying to not stop for coffee in the morning before I go to work.  It was just something that I was trying to do to save money and time.  But today being Friday, I thought I would treat myself and stop.  Little did I know that someone else was about to make it an even better treat.

As I sat in line and time was passing I started to think that this wasn't as good of an idea as I had originally thought.  I had coffee at home.  "Why didn't I just get up and make my own?  Now I'm going to be late!"

When I finally did get to the window I received a pleasant surprise.  "The lady in front of you paid for you already.  Have a great day!" said the nice lady at Tim Hortons.  "How awesome is that!?!?"  I thought.  So right away I said, "Ok.  Let me pay for the guy behind me.

I have no idea how long that went on but it certainly put a smile on my face.  Not only did I get to feel like someone did something nice for me but I was able to do something nice for someone else.

So this is my suggestion: Lets see how long we can keep this up on Fridays.  There's no better way to start the weekend than this.  I will do it too.  My challenge to you is to see how big we can make it.  Lets find new ways besides just paying for each others' coffee and lets keep it random.  It doesn't always have to be a monetary gesture either.  It just has to be something nice that you do for someone else that you don't do every day.

Then, if someone does something nice for you, tell me about it on the air.  We can air these stories every Friday to not only put a smile on our faces but to make our lives a little better.  The challenge is on.  Do you think you can make someone's life better?
