Richie Incognito Apparently Apologizes for Racist Comments
The target of Buffalo Bills guard Richie Incognito's alleged racially insensitive comments during the Bills AFC Wild Card Playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on January 6th now says the two have resolved the incident. Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue told reporters that he and Incognito spoke on Wednesday as players prepare for the Pro Bowl in Orlando. Ngakoue says he's looking to move on and had no further comment.
Following that Wild Card game Ngakoue said in regard to Incognito's alleged remarks, "I've been playing this game for 12 or 13 years and have never heard anything like that before." Ngakoue stated on Twitter that Incognito made offensive remarks about his ethnicity.
Incognito has not issued any statements in regard to the accusations, but apparently has apologized and Ngakoue is satisfied. Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson said he saw both Incognito and Ngakoue speaking on Wednesday but couldn't comment on what they said. But he said it show the true character of a man to apologize and clear the air.
Despite both sides apparently being satisfied with the incident the NFL is still investigating.
