A team that raised so many eyebrows around the NFL with back to back upset wins plummeted back to earth on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals 20-16. The Buffalo Bills offense already short at the receiver position lost a big part of their passing attack with tight end Charles Clay going down early with a knee injury. And any downfield advantage the Bills may have had went out the window with the loss of Clay.
Who would have believed it? I didn't. Most people didn't. After four games the Buffalo Bills stand atop the AFC East all alone with a 3-1 record. New England and the New York Jets are tied for second place, both at 2-2. But the way the Bills have played the first month of the season has people around the NFL noticing.
This is why we love this guy! Yesterday, before the Buffalo Bills beat the Broncos, we were able to join the party with the The Bills Mafia at the Ultimate Buffalo Bills Fan Tailgate at the Wings Pavilion where all the money raised went to charity and beforehand kids from Make-A-Wish joined us and went on stage with Jim Kelly and the crowd went nuts for them...
Maybe it was all a part of upset weekend in the NFL. Chicago beat Pittsburgh, New Orleans surprised Carolina and Jacksonville destroyed Baltimore. With the Buffalo Bills 26-16 win over the Denver Broncos, maybe it was all meant to be.
