Here in Buffalo, the weather really isn't that bad. We don't have any earthquakes, we don't get any hurricanes, and there are never mudslides or tornadoes. We just get a little bit of snow, that's all.
Are you old enough to remember the Blizzard of '77? This Saturday marks the 35th Anniversary of the Blizzard of '77. It was because of this famous storm that Buffalo earned the reputation as the "snow capital of the Northeast"
It was on this day back in 1977 that a wall of black clouds descended on Western New York bringing bitter cold, heavy snow and winds as high as 75 mph in what would come to be known as The Blizzard of '77.
The storm raged for just over 25 hours resulting in 29 deaths.
