Blake Shelton is pretty used to being nominated for big awards, but that doesn’t mean he’s not ecstatic to receive more nods at the CMAs this year. The ‘God Gave Me You’ hitmaker has racked up four new nominations in 2012. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Hunter Hayes is enjoying the first CMA nomination — and he’s eternally grateful.

Hunter Hayes and Lady Antebellum both snagged a sweet surfboard award at last night’s (June 22) 2012 Teen Choice Awards. Hayes was honored as the year’s Choice Male Country Artist and Lady Antebellum took the award for Choice Country Group.

Hunter Hayes pulled off what many people would call an upset last week by beating Kenny Chesney on The Friday Night Fight.  He is back again this week to take on a couple of the godfathers from The Muzikmafia.  It's Big & Rich with their new song, "That's Why I Pray" vs. the returning champ Hunter Hayes with "Wanted".  It's Friday Night.  Let's Get It On!

The Academy of Country Music Awards is Sunday night on CBS with Reba and Blake Shelton returning as hosts of the show.  They call it country music biggest party in Las Vegas and that’s a good way to describe it.   Fans are able to vote in two separate categories; Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the year.   This week I’ll highlight the artists nominated.  Today, we look at the Hunter Haye

Last night was WYRK's Acoustic Show @UB which featured the Grammy nominated duo Thompson Square, J.T. Hodges (or Elvis) & Hunter Hayes.  The show was great as usual, there was a super turn out and the fans really came out in full force.  Especially for Hunter Hayes!!

Last night on American Idol, contestant Chase Likens gave it his best shot and sang "Storm Warning" by Hunter Hayes (who, by the way, is coming to WYRK's Acoustic Show on March 7th at UB).  I think this kid still needs some work, but see what you think.....
