Over the holiday weekend, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles married her....

It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas in Nashville.  Last Thursday night fans filled the Bridgestone arena to watch the taping of the upcoming Holiday special “A CMA Country Christmas”.  Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland hosted the show for the second year, which featured Faith Hill singing “Little Drummer Boy”, Rascal Flatts “White Christmas”, Darius Rucker “Winter Wonderland, Keith U

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles has been asked to host the CMA country Christmas special for a second year.   The two hour show will be taped on November 10th which is the day after the CMA Awards and will air on ABC during the holidays.   I watched the special last year and thought Jennifer did a great job hosting.  Word is she is pleased to have been asked back to host once again.

What a great tribute to some of the greatest female singers in the history of country music.  The Academy of Country Music Girls' Night Out on CBS Friday night honored Reba McEntire, Jennifer Nettles, Carrie Underwood, the Judds, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert and Loretta Lynn.

I'm a guy who really truly does have a great respect for all genres of music.  I like at least something from just about every type of music you can imagine.  But whatever happened to awards shows showcasing the type of music that the awards represent?
