One of the many sure signs of spring in Western New York is Maple Weekend.  The same sugar maple trees that produce those brilliant red, gold and orange leaves in the fall produce some of the best maple syrup.  According to the U-S Forest Service, there are more tappable maple trees in New York State than any other state in the country.

New Canadian $100, $50 and $20 bills are already out, and later this year they'll release $5 and $10 bills, made basically of plastic. Canada has moved away from cotton-based paper money to a polymer that’s more expensive to produce but is expected to last two to three times longer than paper. They're also harder to counterfeit. They have security features like raised ink, hidden numbers and holog
