Ted Black has been the president of the Buffalo Sabres since Terry Pegula bought the team.  However, The Buffalo Sabres announced that they have parted ways with him today.

According to The Buffalo News, Buffalo Bills president Russ Brandon will take over that position with the Sabres while retaining his position with the Bills.  The Pegulas admitted that they decided to make the move after they saw how smoothly things went with the Bills.

“Since we purchased the Buffalo Bills last October, we have been highly impressed with the business acumen that Russ has shown with the Bills,” said Bills and Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula. “Now is an appropriate time to give him additional responsibilities with the Sabres."

Sabres General Manager Tim Murray will continue to oversee hockey operations for the organization and report directly to Terry & Kim Pegula.
