Last night was the Triple-A home run derby at Coca-Cola Field. Nearly 17,000 people packed the ballpark to watch some of the most promising young stars in baseball swing for the fences. As a prelude to the Triple-A excitement, local celebrities gave it their best at the home run derby. Pat Kaleta, Fred Jackson, Rob Gronkowski and a few others took their shot at launching the long ball. The Williamsville native, Gronkowski, won the celebrity challenge with nine homers. The Triple-A all-star home run derby came next and it was Valentino Pascucci of the Buffalo Bisons who racked up the most home runs.
