Homeless and at-risk veterans can meet with government and community-based service providers during the Stand Down event at Coca-Cola Field on Friday, June 23rd from 10 am to 3 pm.  Basic necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling will be provided to homeless veterans.  Plus veterans can also receive referrals to other assistance such as health care, housing solutions, employment, substance abuse treatment and mental health counseling.

Sean Lindstrom is with the Veteran's Administration Health Care for Homeless Veterans program and he's also the co-chair for the Veteran's Stand Down event at Coca-Cola Field.  We were able to contact him as workers were setting up for the event.
